About First Presbyterian Church of Haddon Heights

The First Presbyterian Church of Haddon Heights is a dynamic church located in Haddon Heights, NJ. Our beliefs are based on the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. Our mission has always been to lead people in their spiritual growth, to create disciples, and serve the most vulnerable in our community. We aim to help people of all backgrounds discover the joy that comes from serving God – in our church, our families, and our community.

We invite you to join us for Worship on Sundays at 10:00 am.  In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, our Worship services are being streamed on Facebook Live every Sunday morning.  Please visit our Facebook page to join us in Worship and praise:  https://www.facebook.com/fpchaddonheights

We understand that sometimes attending a new church can be intimidating.  We hope that our members, and the information on our website, will make you feel welcome to attend when we are finally able to worship in person again.

Faith

We believe that all people are a valued part of God’s creation. God has a deep desire to be in relationship with you, and we would like to welcome you, just as you are, into our church family. Come and join us as we walk our faith life together.

Family

Believers of all ages are welcome at First Presbyterian Church. Every Sunday we provide a children's message within our regular Worship service, as well as Sunday School classes (currently being held as an interactive online class during the pandemic).  Feel free to learn more about our Children’s ministries under the CHRISTIAN ED tab on the Kids or Teens pages.  Childcare is normally provided every Sunday for our children; however, for the safety of our children and workers, we will not be providing childcare until further notice even when we return to in-person worship.

Leadership

First Presbyterian Church is blessed with gifted leaders in our staff, elders, deacons, trustees, teachers, and all volunteers. As Presbyterians, we believe in shared leadership, so each member of our church family has a voice and vote in the decisions of our church. To learn more about our leadership members and structure, please visit the Our Leadership page.

Presbyterian Church (USA)

As a member of the PC(USA), we follow the tenets of Reformed faith as laid out in The Book of Confessions and The Book of Order. Learn more about the Presbyterian Church here: https://www.pcusa.org/

Worship

Due to the COVID-19 Crisis, we have been  worshipping virtually. Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am on Facebook Live:  Facebook.com/fpchaddonheights.

We will be offering a Hybrid Worship model (In-person and virtual live-stream), starting October 18, 2020. In-person will be open to a maximum of 42 people per Sunday with pre-registration. The service will be Livestreamed for our church family and friends to worship from their homes. Those worshipping in-person must follow precautions and guidelines in order to maintain everyone’s health and safety.  These protocols are posted on our COVID Update.
