Our Music Ministries

We offer opportunities for singers and instrumentalists of all ages and abilities to praise God through music.  On May 1, 2022 we welcomed a new Director of Music, Dr. Chris Thomas, who has an extensive resume and we are thrilled to have him leading our music ministry. As we have progressed through the pandemic, our adult choir (Chancel Choir) and bell choir (Covenant Ringers) are back to performing during worship.  Our Chancel Choir rehearses Thursday evenings at 7:30pm and our Covenant Ringers rehearse on Thursdays at 6:45pm.

Our children's choirs have begun rehearsing on Sunday mornings at 9:00am.  These choirs typically rehearse on the 2nd through last (4th or 5th) Sunday of the month and perform during worship on the 1st Sunday of the month.  The Calvin Choir is directed by Chris Thomas and is for kids in grades 2nd through 6th; the Cherub Choir is directed by Kim Muni and is for kids ages 3 though 1st grade.

In addition, our Praise Band, featuring special vocal and instrumental musical pieces has been providing our worship music once a month (usually on the 2nd Sunday of the month).

Cherub Choir

Directed by Kim Muni, the cherub choir is made up of children 4 years old to 1st grade. They typically perform once a month during worship. Rehearsals are every Sunday at 9:00am, except for the second Sunday of the month. No audition is necessary! We would love for your children to join them!

Calvin Choir

Directed by Dr. Chris Thomas, the Calvin Choir is made up 2nd to 6th graders. The Calvin Choir typically performs once a month during worship. Rehearsals are every Sunday at 9:00am, except the second Sunday of the month. No auditions are required!  They would love for you to join them!

Chancel Choir

Directed by Dr. Chris Thomas, the Chancel Choir is open to church members and friends of high school age or older. The choir usually performs one anthem during worship from September through May. No audition is necessary! The Chancel Choir rehearses Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 8:45pm.

The Praise Band

The Praise Band leads worship on the 2nd Sunday of each month, except during the summer months. Led by Pete Johnson and Jeff Moon, its members include: Sean Remington guitar and vocals; Fred Heuser, guitar; Jeff Moon, drums; Pete Johnson, vocals and percussion; Jenni Maienza, vocals; Joanne Erwin, piano/keyboard/violin; Daniel Mullan, guitar; and Ajay Ostrem, violin

Covenant Ringers (Bells)

Directed by Chris Thomas, the Bell Choir is open to all church members and friends who love music and can count! The choir usually performs once a month during worship from September through May. No audition is necessary! The Covenant Ringers rehearse Thursday evenings from 6:45 to 7:30pm.

Special Music

During the summer and on special dates throughout the year, our service includes special vocal or instrumental music by musicians of our congregation. If you would like to offer your musical talents in worship, please contact the office at 856-547-6139 to speak with Chris Thomas, our Director of Music.
